I attended Higher Learning for about a year and got into my first choice specialized high school. I’m grateful for the center and what they have taught me. Their English curriculum and teaching is especially noteworthy. I would recommend to anyone looking to grow their skillset and improve their familiarity with SHSAT questions.

"Spring Seedlings" (Chunmiao) Tutoring Center is a highly trustworthy and recommended facility. My son attended tutoring here from the fourth grade through the eighth grade, and this year, he successfully gained admission to his top-choice specialized high school. The center is conveniently located and offers a comfortable, tidy learning environment; the staff are very welcoming to parents, and Mr. Rola is an incredibly patient teacher with decades of experience. I have recommended this center to many relatives and friends for their children, and I will continue to share this recommendation with others who might need it.

I am so glad that both my children chose this tutoring center; they have been studying here since the fourth grade. My daughter was admitted to The Bronx High School of Science a few years ago, and my son got into Stuyvesant High School this year. The environment here is comfortable and tidy, and the staff are patient and easygoing. Mr. Roda has decades of teaching experience; he patiently guides every student and frequently offers encouragement, giving the children the confidence to tackle more challenging problems. I am grateful to Chunmiao Tutoring Center for helping both my children get into their top-choice high schools!

My kid attended a 2nd grade class. The course was well-structured and easy to follow. The teacher was knowledgeable about how students are doing and knows how to improve, if necessary. My kid learned a lot. Highly recommended.

Macallan Yu - Higher Learning is not a bad place to learn specific things that you need help on. The higher level classes (based on grade levels) help you improve your skills, it refreshes your brain and it allows you to go deeper in thought. For example, in Mr. Roda's, class (SHSAT going to 8th grade), the skills he teaches helps students to sharpen ELA and Math skills in many areas. It can be applied on multiple types of tests, and especially, on school curriculums. However, the thing about Higher Learning is that the spacing of all the classrooms and the placement of them is pretty good, it seems a bit cramped together. When the classes end, everyone rushes through the hallway to leave through the stairs or the elevator. Personally, I used to take the elevator but I use the stairs, and as I take the stairs, it looks a bit weirder than the typical stairs. Also, many people rush down the stairs increasing the risk of someone tripping and falling. Other than that, I think Higher Learning is A GREAT PLACE TO LEARN NEW CONCEPTS!!!

Higher Learning was a great place! I've been attending for about 3 semesters so far and the first 2 for the state test were incredibly helpfull. Mr. Roda is a great teacher and that makes the long hours a bit more tolerable. He always makes sure that you understand the topic before we move on and he doesn't make the material too hard and visibly tries his best to help everyone understand the question.
If you want to improve your ELA/Math skills, want math hacks, or just need an academic boost, then you should attend higher learning. The learning environment is great and I would recommend it to all my friends.

If you are looking for a tutoring center to increase your skills in math and language arts, Higher Learning is best place for that. After I started coming here to prep for the SHSAT, my skills and overall confidence were drastically improved. Thanks to Higher Learning, I got a higher chance of getting into a better high school!

I highly recommended anyone looking for guidance in Math and English to go to this tutoring center! I am grateful for the support I received to eventually become confident in my Math and English skills. The tips and strategies I learned to excel in the SHSAT made such a great difference that I was accepted to Stuyvesant High school (my top choice!). I especially suggest to take Mr. Roda's classes because his teaching styles allows you to stay engaged. He ensures that each class is productive and focuses on concepts that need the most attention. If you are looking for a tutoring center that will push you to be successful, then you should start classes here.

Thanks to Higher Learning, I couldn’t have felt more confident and happier today. I attended Mr. Roda’s SHSAT class during the summer and fall, and my growth during those months were clearly shown on my results after the exam, as I was able to get into my first choice. The practice tests were great, and the scores were calculated accurately. The classes covered all subjects with strategies and tips that proved to work very well. The office staff are really nice, and I felt comfortable in the learning environment. Higher Learning is the place to go if you want to challenge yourself for the better.
